Winco
These deals were spotted at the SE Powell & 82nd Ave* and could vary by location. Tried a different location this week - here are a few of the highlights:
- Ataulfo Mangos - $0.88/each
- These are my favorite type of mangoes, sometimes called Honey Mangos - they are consistently sweet vs traditional mangoes. They are on the smaller side but worth it!
- Mandarins - $1.98/2lb bag
- It is getting toward the end of citrus season so I'm not sure how these are right now, mandarins are always a gamble. I will say the navel oranges have been very sweet so we've been sticking to them but $1.98/2lbs is a great price if you need an ez-peel option.
- Corned Beef Flats & Points
- St. Patty's Day is this week - if you didn't grab Corned Beef last week, here are a few deals for you. I found the Corned Beef Flat Cut for $3.98/lb and Corned Beef Point Cut for $2.98/lb. Close to the sale price at Fred Meyer (see below) so either option is great.
- 5 pound Baking Potatoes - $2.68
- 10 pound Baking Potatoes - $4.98
- Tillamook Colby & Medium Cheddar 2lb - $7.98
- If you missed the Tillamook sale, this is a great price with no limit! I just saw these two varieties for that price.
- Vanilla Honey Bunches of Oats Cereal - $1.78
- Cereal prices have skyrocketed and shrinkflation has DEFINITELY happened but they do have boxes of the Vanilla Honey Bunches of Oats for a great price - Costco has a good price too (see below).
- Wallsbry Jam (local Portland) -
- I have not tried this brand before but they are local Portland - I picked up a strawberry to try!
- Marionberry Jam $3.98
- Strawberry Preserves $2.68
- I have not tried this brand before but they are local Portland - I picked up a strawberry to try!
- Winco Brand Butter - $2.98 STILL ON SALE
- $2.98 this week
- Avocados - $0.48/each STILL ON SALE
- This is the cheapest I've seen them in a long time and really beats any price! Super fresh - smaller in size. I purchase green and let ripen naturally. Pop in fridge when ripe to slow process and keep fresh.
- Grapes - $1.28/lb red and green
- Great deal on grapes and they were in good shape at this location - no limit so I picked up 3 bags!
- 3 Pack Romaine Hearts - $1.98 STILL ON SALE
- Definitely a great deal! Usually upwards of $3.50-3.99
- Red Peppers - $0.78/pepper STILL ON SALE
- Yellow were $1.28 and Orange $1.48
Safeway
Be sure to download the Safeway app to load the deals and special Just for U coupons - prices reflected below require the digital coupons.
- Pork Sirloin Chops or Roast (limit 2) - $0.77/lb
- We aren't big pork chop people but could definitely do a roast - I'll have to scope them out to see if it's something we'd eat but definitely a good price. *bone-in
- Green Cabbage (first 4lbs) - $0.09/lb
- If you need a cabbage for St. Patty's this is a great price - just watch the weight as it's limited to 4lbs
- Thick Cut Bacon (limit 2) - $2.77/lb
- 3 pound packages of Signature Select bacon, I will cook the whole package and use for BLTs. Good price for bacon!
- Tillamook Ice Cream or Sandwiches (limit 4) - $2.77
- Can't beat Tillamook, the sandwiches come in a 4 count and are delightful!
- Challenge Butter or Shredded Tillamook Cheese (limit 4) - $3.77
- If you can't make it to Winco for butter, grabbing 4 of these Challenge is a good deal! The Tillamook Shredded cheese is an ok deal, I'd rather get the butter!
Fred Meyer
Digital coupons apply to many of these deals as well - be sure to download via the app and link your rewards card. 4x fuel points on Friday purchases.
- Conventional Strawberries - $1.99/lb (up to 5x in one transaction with coupon)
- Strawberry season has been good so far, another great weekly deal!
- Heritage Farm Boneless Chicken Breast - $1.99/lb (up to 5x in one transaction with coupon)
- Heritage Farm isn't my favorite chicken breast to purchase but if you're in a pinch - it's a good price to stock up. I prefer Foster Farms when they go on sale or Trader Joe's which usually run $2.99/lb consistently.
- Private Select Ice Cream - $3.99 (up to 5x in one transaction with coupon)
- Don't knock this store brand ice cream - it is probably one of the BEST on the shelves! We can't have ice cream with eggs due to an allergy in the house and this is one that is eggfree! But we keep going back to it because of the rich flavors and they are PACKED with goodies! One of our favorites is the dark chocolate raspberry - it's so rich of raspberry flavor! Definitely give it a try!
- Simple Truth Organic Broth - $1.79
- Less than $2.00 is always a good price, there is also a digital coupon for $0.30 off of 1. No limit.
- Corned Beef Brisket
- Point Cut $2.99/lb (comparable to Winco)
- Flat Cut $4.49/lb (a little more than Winco) I prefer Flat Cut as it is less fatty and yields more meat after cooking.
New Seasons
Coupons still valid this coming week!
- Boneless Center Cut Pork Chops - $3.99/lb
- Not a huge pork chop fan (as mentioned above) but the regular price on these at New Seasons is $7.99/lb
- New Seasons All Natural Corned Beef - $11.99/lb
- The Corned Beef deals above aren't for all - if you're looking for a more natural option, New Seasons is the way to go! With the $10 coupon that could be a good saver!
- Free Bag of Coffee
- If you have the coupon, grab that free bag of coffee!!!
Costco
If you've followed me on social for a while you may know that I just RECENTLY got a Costco membership, actually almost a year ago now. I do not think they have the best prices on meat and produce and some other things - I think I stay for the fun seasonal things. That being said, when they run specials on certain items, it's pretty good. Here are a few of the things I found this week.
- Terra Classic Sea Salt Chips 20oz - $4.49 (throught 4/2)
- Love the Terra chips for a "healthy" alternative - a mix of sweet potatoes, parsnips, beets, taro
- Honey Bunches of Oats Honey Roasted 2/25oz boxes - $5.59 (through 4/2)
- These are definitely bigger bags of cereal than the grocery store, so just under $3/box is a great deal if you like this cereal.
- Kirkland Almond Butter 27oz - $6.49
- I've tried many almond butters in my time, and honestly this is probably one of my favorite basic almond butters! It's smooth, creamy and good flavor. And the price is right - this is the standard price all the time.
- Goldfish 66oz - $12.59
- I have no idea when Goldfish got expensive, but it happened! A 30oz box at Target is $8.99 these days so $12.59 for double the amount is pretty darn good. My kids eat these all year long.
- Organic Brown Sugar 7.5lbs - $8.99
- I love this brown sugar, if you are a baker - it's a great price. If you don't bake often, don't waste your money on brown sugar in large quantities or it will get hard. Stick with smaller packages.
- Beer - $30ish
- I generally get a 24 pack of some beer for my husband - he's an IPA drinker. They rotate a bit here and there. A few of their current packs include: Voodoo Ranger, Rogue Dead Guy Casket, Ninkasi Adventure Pack, Sierra Nevada Big IPA Pack. They are all $29.99-$31.99 which is about $15 for a 12 pack, much cheaper than any grocery store.
