Description

You will love this blend of Lebanese Shawarma Spices - perfect to cook chicken, beef or even veggies. The warm spices make for a flavorful dish.

This mix makes about 1 1/4 cup. I use about 3 Tablespoons for 2-3 pounds of meat, you can adjust to your liking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Tablespoons kosher salt **half the amount if you are using table salt
  • 4 Tablespoons ground cumin
  • 4 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 4 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 4 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 4 teaspoons ground allspice
  • 2 teaspoons ground cardamom
  • 2 teaspoons ground turmeric
  • 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons ground paprika **sweet or smoked
  • 2 teaspoons ground Aleppo pepper
  • **2 teaspoons ground cayenne pepper - optional for spice

Instructions

  1. Combine all spices into a bowl and whisk to combine.
  2. Pour into a jar with tight sealing lid. Store in a cool dry location.
  3. Good for up to 6 months.

Notes

  • Feel free to sub or omit any spices you don't have on hand. This recipe is adaptable to your own liking and budget.
  • I use Diamond Kosher salt in my recipes - if you are using standard table salt, please HALF the amount to 1 Tablespoon. Kosher salt is much less salty.
